Since 1991 M/S Laponia has served the Norrbotten archipelago giving many people the opportunity to experience Luleå’s beautiful surroundings up close and personal. Enjoy an evening cruise with good food and entertainment while surrounded by islands and the sea.
On her big archipelago tour, M/S Laponia adds the islands Junkön and Kluntarna where guests have the opportunity to go ashore and explore. On Junkön visitors are welcome to the old homestead “Agda och Valborg” where eight craftsmen hold exhibitions and sell their crafts. The island also features a guide that shows the unique hat mill or the archipelago museum. On Kluntarna there are walking paths to the lookout tower, the old harbour and the fishing area. Here you can also experience an exciting and mysterious maze. The tour runs every Thursday from July 2nd to July 30th.
Evening cruises venture to the small island of Brändöskär, far out in the archipelago. Laponia docks at the picturesque fishing area and those who want can take a guided tour of the island before listening to summer hymns in the chapel. During the boat trip a delicious buffet dinner with the chef’s freshly baked bread is served. The cruise runs every Wednesday from July 1st to July 29th.
M/S Laponia serves the islands of Brändöskär, Junkön, Kluntarna, Malören, Piteå-Stenskär and Småskär.
Of course, M/S Laponia is easily accessible for the disabled.
