It might start slowly, something easy to wipe away. But when it then strikes no one has any answers yet. Magnus Björkbom's exhibition at the Norrbotten Museum is based on a process that eventually sent him to hospital in an emergency for three weeks. There was then one year left for the exhibition. After more than two months of absence from the studio, he began with major problems, to get there again a few days a week. Most of the time before the exhibition was actually planned before, but the unexpected situation led to a lot of new idea material and changed the direction of everything. At the same time, it is about something bigger.

Magnus Björkbom, born in 1980, grew up in Kyrkbyn and works in visual arts, primarily with oil painting and drawing, with some detours in other areas. His art occasionally mixes the world with fiction to illustrate ideas and concepts around widely diverse topics, generally with several running threads for the viewer to pick up. There is often a broader theme that hovers over the images in addition to its more specific content, as well as metaphorical elements. A number of recurring environments and characters occasionally link to previous works in an art that is primarily driven by new ideas and the idea that ideas give birth to ideas.
