Gråsjälören

Gråsjälören is a small island in Luleå archipelago close to the city center. You can see it from the south harbour. During winter the famous ice track spans from to north harbour, around Luleå city, to the south harbour and then straight out to Gråsjälören. This makes the little island a favorite among locals and tourists alike.

Have a walk, ski, iceskate, take the fatbike or a kicksled on the frozen water to the island. In winter during weekend the organization Lions opens up a small café where you can buy hot beverages and waffles. You'll know it's open when you see the flag waving in the wind. There are fire places and wood to use if you'd rather bring your own food.
