Swedish Fika Experience

Singer and storyteller Anna Sellén offers small-scale cultural and nature-based experiences in the UNESCO World Heritage Site Gammelstad and the surrounding forests near Luleå. Guests can join hands-on cinnamon bun workshops, enjoy Swedish fika with live folk songs, or take part in guided forest walks focused on calm and reflection.

Seasonal highlights include Lucia and Christmas with saffron-buns and ginger bread, spring semla baking, and other Swedish celebrations that invite guests to experience authentic local traditions throughout the year.

A unique part of the programme features storytelling inspired by Astrid Lindgren – readings and songs that have shaped Swedish childhood for generations – combined with tales from real northern life: wanderers, farmhands and rural traditions.
