Nils Berg Cinemascope :Plays Religion

On April 24, Nils Berg and musicians offer a concert experience out of the ordinary! Nils Berg Cinemascope has existed since 2009 and over the years has developed his idea of creating music together with filmed material from all over the world. On stage, the boundaries between digital and acoustic technology are blurred and everything is performed live with the video guests projected behind the musicians.

Nils Berg is a Swedish jazz musician and composer. Since his debut in 2004, he has released eight records as a bandleader and made himself known for wide collaborations with such widely different worlds as Mando Diao, Cullbergbaletten and Forss. Since 2013 he has been playing in Håkan Hellström's live band and when he visited Kulturens hus in 2022 it was with Nina Persson and Martin Hederos in Nina letar Jazz.

In Nils Berg Cinemascope, border crossing is taken to its absolute peak. Through videos of singers and musicians from all corners of the world, the band creates both new music and new scenes where Sweden, through a projector placed on stage, meets Bhutan, Texas, Osaka or India. An extraordinary concert experience where boundaries are blurred between digital and acoustic technology, live with the video guests projected behind the musicians. Nils Berg Cinemascope was formed in 2009 and over the years the group has released several records, a couple of films and toured all over the world.
