As part of the program for the Luleå Biennale, the art gallery has arranged creative workshops with visitors. There, several people have had a chance to try making their own personal walking stick with inspiration from Jenni Laiti & Outi Pieski's artwork Forewalkers. Together with art educators from the art gallery and Norrbottensmuseum, we are organizing a philosophical walk this day.
Did you know that there are 320 synonyms in the Sami language for hiking?
You can hike with or without poles. There is a limited number of poles to borrow, and everyone is welcome to bring their own poles from home.
