Takida
One of Sweden's biggest rock bands, Takida, goes out once again on an acoustic tour, Boxroom. There will be 21 gigs around the country and on February 28 it's time for Kulturens hus Luleå.
It's been 10 years since Takida went on tour under the same concept. The boxroom concept is a stripped-down, acoustic concert hall tour with a close relationship to the seated audience. It will be beautiful and grand at the same time - framed with extra strings and choirs.
"We felt that we wanted to do something different in Sweden next year and we have been talking about another Boxroom tour for several years now. So damn fun that it's happening again and now we think most people know what it's about. We leave the electric guitars at home. See you in February. Takida.”
Takida was formed in 1999 and broke through a few years later with the debut album "Make You Breathe" (2006). The following year saw the huge hit, the now classic single "Curly Sue". The song parked itself in the Tracklistan's first place for 10 weeks and on the Svensktoppen for a mighty 54 weeks.
