Gästspel: Norrlandsoperans symfoniorkester
The Norrlandsoperans Symphony Orchestra will visit Kulturens hus with Britta Byström's A Walk to Brahms Violin Concerto and a closing classical symphony.
The Norrlandsoperans Symphony Orchestra will go on a Norrland tour via Finland in the autumn of 2025 and during these concerts invite the audience to a musical journey into the world of classical music. The concert opens with Britta Byström's A Walk to Brahms Violin concerto. The "Walk" series by Britta Byström is a concept the Swedish composer has worked with for several major works in recent years. These serve as an introduction to what is to come, which she herself describes as "rhythmic music that functions as an introduction to another work. The idea is to take a musical walk, during which you get a glimpse of the upcoming work, much like catching a glimpse of the silhouette of a city you are approaching from afar". In this case, the audience arrives to Johannes Brahms' violin concerto. The evening then ends with a classical symphony.
