Guided Tour of Gammelstad Church Town in English

Do you want to learn more about Gammelstad’s exciting history and why there are over 400 small, red church cottages on the area? Then you should join our fun and educational guided tour of the world's largest and most well preserved church town.

Here you can feel the wings of history as we walk in narrow alleys, visit a church cottage and if possible we look into the medieval stone church (with reservation for church services). During the tour you will learn more about what it was like in Gammelstad in the past, how the church town is used today and why the church town is a world heritage site that is important to preserve for the future. The tour starts from Visitor Center and takes about an hour.
