Lunatic
Lunatic is a dance performance that transforms contemporary movement into moon rituals. Drawing on mythology and women’s historical connection to the moon, the work reclaims the figure of the “lunatic”—once used to silence unruly women—as a source of power and resistance.
Through movement, voice, and embodiment, the duo channels both the wild and the serene: the loud, shaking figure of The Bitch meets the dark, silent pull of the moon and her goddesses. Lunatic moves in cycles, blending lunar time with pop culture and aesthetics from the wellness industry.
A sister performance to Granddaughters (2022), Bitch (2021), and BITCHCRAFT (2017) by Erävalo and Òlafsdóttir, Lunatic invites us into deep time—a space for memory, myth, and motion. It is a ritual, a rebellion, and a moon made of dance.
