NKO: Minnet av ljus
Isabelle van Keulen leads us through Haydn's first violin concerto, a work by Lera Auerbach and Fazil Say, and shows off her stage charisma and virtuoso violin playing.
The Dutch violinist and conductor Isabelle van Keulen is internationally acclaimed for her stage charisma and virtuoso violin playing. She is also the artistic director of the Norrbotten Chamber Orchestra and she enjoys appearing in dual roles – as soloist and conductor. Here we get to experience her in Haydn's first violin concerto, which was first discovered in 1909, a hundred years after Haydn's death. We also get to experience music by Lera Auerbach, known for her inviting neo-romantic musical language. In addition, we are treated to Chamber Symphony – Kammarsymfoni – written by the Turkish composer and pianist Fazil Say.
