Norrbotten (Inter)national Choir Festival
When the festival is held for the sixth time, we want to celebrate the world culture that we have very close to us. We want to highlight the diversity that we have in Norrbotten. The Sami and the Tornedalen. The Sami musician and yoiker Anja Storelv who will both perform and teach us how to yoik. The musicians Susanne Rantatalo and Jan Johansson will let us take part in the cultural heritage of the Tornedalen. They will teach us songs in Meänkieli and perform in concert.
We will also invite artists who represent other minority languages in Sweden, musicians who sing in Yiddish, Romani Chib and Finnish.
Friday 24/10 and Saturday 25/10 free workshops are offered.
