Celebrate Gammelstad's church town - 30 years as a world heritage site
Welcome to the anniversary weekend in Gammelstad, 9–11 October! Gammelstad Church Town is celebrating 30 years as a World Heritage Site – and we would love to celebrate with you! The anniversary weekend coincides with the harvest thanksgiving weekend and offers activities for all ages.
The theme of the weekend is “Stay Rooted” – about seeking your roots and being sustained by tradition without being bound by it.

18:00 Music café with William Sundman Sääf and the Nederluleå Youth Choir at Stadsö Church

10:00 Saturday Breakfast and Storytelling Café with Lisa Lång
12:00 Village Stories – The Heart of Luleå
13:00 Concert with Bo Selinder & ACCJA and the children’s choirs Happy Voices and Korallen
🟧 Sunday, 11 October
11:00 Festive Mass for all ages
12:00 Festive refreshments after the service
