Creative poster-making workshop

Welcome to Konsthallen Luleå for a creative poster-making workshop themed HEART, BRAIN, HAND. For young people aged 15-25.

What do you want to say to the world? What are you passionate about? What makes you angry, happy, hopeful, or curious? The floor is yours! No prior experience is needed, just a desire to create. We provide materials, inspiration, and an open space where your ideas can take shape.

Over the course of three workshop sessions, we will meet in the Art Gallery’s interactive room to create posters. This is your opportunity to highlight an issue, message, or opinion that you would like to share with others. Together, we will explore how colours, images, symbols, and words can be used to strike attention and inspire people to think.

Our workshops draw inspiration from the current exhibition ALLA (EVERYONE), which you are welcome to explore during your visit to Konsthallen.

Session 1: HEART, BRAIN, HAND
Wednesday, September 16, 4:30-6:30 pm
We will meet in the Art Gallery’s interactive room, Gallery 3. Using drawing, collage, colour, and form, we will develop sketches and ideas. The focus will be on exploring how emotions and messages can be expressed visually. We will take inspiration from artists who use their work in different ways to express opinions, protest, and spark conversations.

Session 2: THE POWER OF WORDS
Wednesday, September 23, 4:30-6:30 pm
We will meet in the Art Gallery’s interactive room, Gallery 3. During this session, we will work with text both by hand and digitally. Which words, typefaces, and colours can we use to create powerful expressions that are seen and heard? The finished posters will be scanned and sent to print.

Session 3: EVERYONE TOGETHER
Wednesday, September 30, 4:30-6:30 pm
We will meet in the Art Gallery’s interactive room, Gallery 3. By now, our posters will have arrived from the printers, and it will be time to bring them into the public space! Together, we will install the posters where they are needed most: in the Art Gallery, at the House of Culture, or perhaps even around the city.
