Schaatsen Luleå 2027 – skating on sea ice
Experience an international winter sports week on the sea ice at Luleå’s Southern Harbour from 25 February to 1 March 2027. Schaatsen Luleå brings together recreational skaters, international marathon skaters and spectators on the frozen Gulf of Bothnia.
Programme:
25 February: Sea Ice Classic tour skating, with distances of 10, 30, 50, 100 and 200 km, alongside the Skate4Air Daylight Challenge. The 200 km starts at 06:00; the other distances start at 09:00. Finish closes at 17:00.
26 February: Grand Prix 4 – LKAB Luleå Marathon.
27 February: Grand Prix 5 – LKAB Luleå Sprint.
28 February: Sea Ice Marathon – running on sea ice.
1 March: Grand Prix Final – LKAB Sea Ice Classic Luleå.
Join the tour skating event or watch international skating competitions close to the city centre. Registration is required to participate in the tour skating. Start and finish are on the ice at the Southern Harbour. Visit the website for registration, current start times and practical information. The programme, times and course may change depending on weather and ice conditions.
