Solander Trail

The section of the Solander Trail within Luleå Municipality stretches from Luleå Airport, near the Airplane Sculpture, to Lake Bjursträsk, located south of the charming summer pastures of Alvik along the Älvsbyvägen road, and north of Rosfors Ironworks and Ecopark. From there, the trail continues to Jävre in Piteå Municipality and includes several pleasant loop trails. In total, the trail measures 260 kilometers, including the loops.

A tip for those who don’t have or prefer not to use a car to reach the trail is to plan your hike using local and regional bus lines. For example, you can take bus number 4 from Luleå city center to the airport, hike to the village of Kallax, and then take a regional bus back. Or why not take a regional bus to Sörbyhallarna in Antnäs, walk a section of the trail that runs parallel to the Fäbodaleden Trail, and then take the bus back?
