Where can I rent equipment?

Luleå offers plenty to do, but you can’t always squeeze a pair of skates, skis or a sled into your suitcase. Here, we’ve gathered local providers that rent out clothing, gear and equipment you might need during your stay.

Fritidsbanken

Fritidsbanken is run by the municipality, and here everyone can borrow equipment – completely free of charge. The selection includes everything from hockey sticks, skis and skates to hobbyhorses, chess sets and kubb.

Äventyrsbutiken

At Äventyrsbutiken, you can rent a wide range of outdoor equipment – from skates and touring gear to cross-country skis and alpine equipment.

First camp

At First Camp, located outside Luleå’s city centre, you can rent winter clothing, snowshoes, skis, skates – as well as kayaks or SUP boards.

Returpunkten

A mini recycling center and second-hand shop. You can also return items you’ve borrowed from Fritidsbanken here. At certain times, it’s also possible to borrow ice skates here.
